Dr. Reed Jarvis, Optometrist, Jarvis Vision Center, spoke to Lions about the importance of early detection of eye disease and vision problems in children, emphasizing the value of the Lions KidSight program, as it identifies early vision problems and helps educate parents and teachers regarding vision issues particularly in respect in the early childhood developmental years. Also discussed were new technologies for screening infants and new research into treating macular degeneration.
