Gerald Washington, Executive Director of the Murray-Calloway County United Way spoke at a recent meeting of the Murray Lions Club. Washington updated Club members on the role the United Way plays in the community and urged the Lions and other non-profit and civic clubs in the area to unite around the needs of our community. The United Way funds ten local non-profit agencies serving Murray and Calloway County. Washington stated that while the Murray Calloway County United Way is one of the smaller United Way agencies in the state, the reach for our community is significant.
